Warn Terror Threat, U.S. Use Facebook

TEROR FB

United States Department of Homeland Security (U.S.) or the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) plans to use social networks like Facebook and Twitter to spread the warning of the threat of terrorism.

"Probably we will spread to social networking to spread the news warning of the threat of terror, at the right time," said a spokeswoman for DHS.

Later, there would be only two levels of warning, the 'elevated', when there is a close and credible threat against the United States, and 'imminent' for a credible terrorist threat, specific and future or ongoing attack.

Quoted from Big News Networks, Friday (08/04/2011), this system will replace the system used today, namely the use of color codes to the level of 'Severe', 'High', 'elevated', 'Guarded' and 'Low' . The plan, the system is effective from 27 April 2011.

Based on the draft plans drawn up by DHS, prior to disseminate warnings of terror threats, there are a series of processes that must be followed.

The process started from sharing information among intelligence circles and institutions, both at regional and national levels, including the White House, FBI and the National Counter terrorism Center in the U.S..

If the threat is considered very serious DHS officials will hold a meeting for the handling of terror. If deemed necessary, then the terror threat warning would be deployed. Each memorial has a limit expired.
